Rémi Vandevivere : Solex design !

Last year, the Workshop was contacted by a young designer, Rémi Vandevivere, to prepare Solex engines for some "special" mopeds.

A graduate with "high honors" from his design school, Rémi is full of ideas, and his workshop, located in Roncq (59), is full of singular objects: a Solex wheelbarrow, a Solex cafe racer made of a trunk, a jerrycan, and a soft saddle, and many other things, each more surprising than the last.

During a trip to Belgium, I had the chance to meet and chat with Rémi and his associate Mathieu and discover their creations in their workshop.

More than just Solexes, the prototypes presented are true works of art that belong in your living room... with the charm of being able to go get bread with them!

Our discussions, then our collaborative work in 2018, on a few models, led to technically reliable machines of uncompromising originality.

As far as we are concerned, here is one of these creations:

Astonishing, isn't it?

You can discover all his creations on his website:

Do not hesitate to contact him, and if you want a Solex that is truly out of the ordinary, an original and unique creation, you now have the address!
