The next steps of the work on the 103s…
It's a long process, but unfortunately, that's the price for attention to detail…
From here, each moped is restored in a naturally individualized way.
In order of "ranking," a 103 Land is taking the first "turn" :)
After checking all the parts, some were repainted because they weren't "beautiful" enough for my taste. Verification of all new parts, zinc-plated parts, chrome, and new screws.
Listing the small elements still "to be done," such as luggage rack end caps or fairing trim, etc.
In short, it's a patient job to get the most complete possible puzzle for reassembly.
As with all cycles, we start by reassembling the fork and its components onto the central frame:
Then the frame parts and the swingarm

The rear and front mudguards, with a lot of patterns because the new parts are not entirely consistent with the old ones:

The handlebars:

and of course the various handlebar elements, including the "as new" grips

The diverse and varied electrical system, also with adaptations:

Everything on the machine to check alignments...

Then we finish the last "details": saddle, cable, sheaths, crankset, pulley, chains, pedals, trim, etc., to get a "rideable" cycle part that will undergo a "bike" test over one kilometer (yes, only one because a moped frame is heavy to pedal for even one kilometer!!!!)

That's it... all that remains is to put on the headlight, which went back for painting because it wasn't "beautiful" enough, the side panels, also for painting because the old ones were too "dented," etc... and a dilemma regarding the suspensions... the reconditioned old ones are dead, the new black ones are slightly shorter than the old ones, and the new ones of the same size are not black and cannot be disassembled for painting! In short, the client will decide: lower and black or higher and chrome. :)
but generally, the chassis is okay... all that remains is to check the engine.
See you soon!!
