The story of this 5000 began with a frame brought in for repainting.
So, everything was redone from scratch: chemical stripping, micro-blasting, and white and black powder coating for this small 500 Névé white.
Then Laurent came to pick up his parts and reassembled his moped.
After a few attempts, the engine wasn't to his liking, and he brought it back to the Workshop for a tune-up.
After undergoing preparation stage 2, the engine got a new lease on life.
Once back on the frame, the final result is superb:

I'll let Laurent give his opinion:
“Some news about my Solex, which I hadn't been able to re-test since your last email. In fact, I have nothing special to add; it's still working very well. Perfect for riding on small roads, very good cruising speed, and in fact, I mostly stay at low speed to enjoy my ride, and I only use high speed on inclines where I never need to pedal. The only issue I have is the idle, which struggles to maintain itself, causing unexpected stalls. For the rest, I finished reassembling it, I registered it, and I only need a saddlebag, which I will receive soon. The result is very nice.”
Impeccable then!
The Workshop's advice for the idle is to tighten the throttle cable with the engine resting on the wheel. Then, the cable needs to be taut so that the slide closes a little but not too much. If the cable is too tight, the idle is not as "high," and the Solex tends to stall, especially when it has a slight "preparation" because it needs more fuel to run.
