When Jean-Pierre contacted me, he wanted to restore his family's 5000 to new condition to use it as a leisure vehicle in the south of Ardèche.
As the moped was showing its age, we agreed to restore it to new and fine-tune the engine so it could run reliably.
As usual, the work begins with a complete disassembly of the moped:
We sort the parts according to their condition or their future treatment: paint, galvanizing, simple cleaning...
We also draw up a list of missing or out-of-order parts, which will allow us to find them before starting reassembly.
A few photos of this 5000 so we can have an “before” to compare with the “after” in a few months.
As you can see, it has been well used and undergone modifications over the years...
And the restoration process can begin...
