When Emmanuel contacted the Workshop, he had the idea of getting a Plisolex he had found in a factory in Savoie, under a thick layer of sawdust… a discovery we would all love to make!
As a personal fan and collector of this type of Solex, I gladly agreed to get this machine back on the road.
A quick overview highlighted a very sound and complete Plisolex. It had all the "accessories" of the Plisolex: detachable engine with its support, removable throttle grip, foldable handlebars and seat, and of course, the folding beam frame. Finally, and rarely, it still had its "chromed" Soubitez headlight in excellent condition.
However, this Solex had seen better days and needed a good overhaul to get back on the road: cables, sheaths, tires, grips, brakes, etc... in short, everything essential to ride this rare moped with peace of mind.
The engine, for its part, also showed some signs of weakness: dried and cracked seals, exhaust pipe clogged with carbon...
The decision was therefore made to restore the essential parts of the chassis and completely rebuild the engine to its original specifications, including repairing the exhaust (broken mounting), a model unique to this type of Solex.
A few hours of work resulted in a cleaned, stripped, and polished frame, shined chrome, revived stainless steel, and new consumables.

Then the engine was completely rebuilt... and bench-tested on the road... we never refuse a little ride on a Pli!
In short, a few weeks later, Emmanuel was able to take possession of a fully functional Plisolex, ready for some beautiful rides.
