When Pascal and his wife came to the Workshop, they wanted to refurbish their 5000 and restore it to its original color, snow white.
As the moped was quite well preserved, we agreed to refresh the paint and the screws, fine-tune the engine so it could run reliably, but keep as many original parts as possible.
As usual, the work begins with a complete disassembly of the moped:
We first sort the parts according to their condition or their upcoming treatment: paint, galvanizing, simple cleaning...
We also draw up a list of missing or unusable parts, which will allow us to find them before starting reassembly.
Some photos of this 5000 so we can have an "before" to compare in a few months with the "after".
After a few hours of work, it takes up much less space!
And the restoration process can begin...
