Clutch pulley DOPPLER OPEN for 103 SP, MVL, Vogue
The DOPPLER clutch pulley from the Open range offers a new technological approach for mopeds. The conventional centrifugal shoes are replaced by a set of clutch discs, as found on large displacement motorcycles, but 100% automatic. This solution offers greater efficiency in addition to being very compact. The throttle response is frank and progressive.
The vehicle starts by engaging a pin; three locations spaced at 120° allow the pin to be received, thus reducing the distance to travel for starting. The mechanism disengages automatically by centrifugation after the engine starts. This technical solution allows for the abandonment of the freewheel hub in favor of a bearing mounting. This offers two advantages:
- The possibility of moving the stationary vehicle in both directions, without engaging the engine.
- Reduced runout due to play.
It consists of a plate machined from a block of very high quality aluminum. Its silver anodized finish helps prevent oxidation. The 12 pressure plate screws provide uniform support. Their countersunk heads are naturally designed to prevent loosening.
