These bottom bracket washers are plastic on Peugeots.
Naturally, over time, they wear out, and the crankset develops play, the pulley doesn't run true, etc.
This also causes unpleasant vibrations when driving.
For the price, it's not worth not changing them.
Caution when buying: there are 2 diameters: 16 x 32 and 16 x 28!
