Indeed, if the machining is "good", the post-machining finishes are non-existent.
If you want a nice look for this part, don't hesitate to polish the exterior (brass brush for example). However, do not touch the surfacing, which is fine!
If the look doesn't matter to you and the main thing is "that it works", it can be mounted directly :)
