About Us
Our Company
L'Atelier de la Vigne.
For many years, my passion has been the restoration of vintage vehicles, whether 2, 3, or 4 wheels, but especially mopeds.
These machines, developed to get France back on track after the last war, have become a strong heritage symbol of that era.
Remember...
We all have memories of a grandmother taking us to school on her Mobylette, nestled in the "Idéal" baby seat, in short pants, bare-headed, and feet in the panniers! A happy and carefree time...
A grandfather, traveling tens of kilometers every day to get to work, proudly riding a shiny Peugeot BIMA and cursing on rainy or snowy days when the roller slipped or jammed...
A younger aunt, from the "Flower Power" generation but not too rebellious, who, with her first paycheck, bought herself a leather jacket and a brand new Solex 2200...
And us, the "baby boom" generation, hesitating between the latest Fantic Caballero, the new Derbi C4, the glittery raced Gitane Testi, or the first Japanese mopeds Yamaha or Honda, so bland because they never broke down!!
And what about the memorable "races" between unconditional supporters of the "kitted" Motobec'51 or the timeless Peugeot 103 with close-set handlebars, essential tools for showing off to girls who were more attracted to clean Ciao mopeds with their drive belts...
As you can see, restoration is more than a passion for me; it's also a way of life that needs to be shared with all generations.
The Workshop is here for that: restoration or simple reconditioning, engine overhaul or preparation, a timely helping hand for an operation beyond the scope of a simple amateur – anything is possible.
In short, everything is done so that you can fully enjoy your moped, motorbike, or bicycle for a few outings... or simply preserve a part of your heritage, which remains the only (?) true "investment" in the medium and long term.
The most enthusiastic among you can even use them daily to go to work "differently."
And why not equip "the whole family" for rides or holidays at a different pace, one that allows you to discover the charms and riches of our small secondary roads.
See you soon at the Workshop!
