When José brought us his moped, it was in pieces in several boxes.
Mission given to the Workshop: reassemble it completely, restoring it but using as many original elements as possible.
And so it begins!
Model: 3800
History: This 3800 is a blue luxury model, with stainless steel fenders and white-walled tires.
Options: not yet installed, a "shark tooth" bumper.
What was done to this 3800:
We started with a very worn base, and everything was restored in meticulous detail.
Chassis
The paint was completely redone by powder coating, as was done in the past, after being stripped and sandblasted, piece by piece.
The chrome parts are new or re-chromed; I chose to keep the smooth rims. They were derusted, sanded, polished, then re-chromed.
All the screws were re-zinc plated.
The spokes and tires are new.
All the plastic parts were salvaged and restored, as was the headlight cover.
The fuel tank and magnetic flywheel cover are new.
The decals were reapplied identically.
The accessories (tools, pump, bell) are present and functional.
The front brake pads and rear brake linings are also new.
Finally, the casings and cables were replaced with new ones.

And coming soon, the "engine" part!
