This also answers questions regarding the proper "placement" and the necessary "securing" of the crankshaft bearing, as carefully as possible.
Indeed, if it is poorly reassembled, a simple rotation of the handlebars causes a lateral displacement of the entire crankshaft... leading to wear of the bearing housing, the outer casing, and, most importantly, a massive air leak in the crankcase.

You must never pull out this bearing, completely destroy the staking collar, or reassemble it without care; it is the main weak point of an engine and is often the cause of many power losses and other air leaks.
In any case, if it's not frankly "to be replaced," 🙂 this engine will undoubtedly need a thorough overhaul!
