A word about engine "preparations"
Basically, the engine is completely dismantled, cleaned, and micro-blasted.
Bearings and oil seals are replaced.
Screws are re-zinc plated.
Ignition is serviced and adjusted.
Carburetor is also cleaned and serviced.
Clutch is checked and replaced if necessary.
"Original" restoration
In terms of price, the total restoration of a Motobécane, Peugeot or Piaggio engine is around €360.
At this price, the engine is treated as mentioned above. If other important parts are out of order, we will inform you BEFORE any change so that your quote matches your invoice!
At the workshop, the customer always decides and chooses.
Advanced restoration
It is also possible to have a more "advanced" engine. In this case, the price depends on your wishes.
Always remember that a simple "kit" is not enough to have a good engine. A preparation is a set of elements that make a high-performance and reliable engine: of course, a high-quality cylinder head of a reliable brand, but also adapted carburetion, a matching exhaust, and a reinforced crankcase.
